The United CAKE of America

We got to make a cake for Trevor's Blue and Gold cub scout dinner this week. It was supposed to be an American theme so we decided to make this most beautiful delectable fruity-licious cake! We were all so please with it's gorgeousness. Here's the breakdown:

Jello cake (white cake with red jello)
cool whip
fresh strawberries and blueberries

Here's a little song just for you, cake:

Oh beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain.
For purple mountain magesties
Above the fruited CAKE!

I've tried cakes like that...they never seem to turn out.

This is an adorable cake and by far one of my favs! I loved the last jello cake your mom made for Amy's birthday, i even got leftovers to take home and ate them at midnight when my tummy was growling.

YUMMY!!!! I love Jello cake (we put a layer of pudding on before the cool whip). Hmmmm.....I'm feeling a Jello cake in our future. Thanks for the inspiration. Was it a contest?

Beautiful cake! It looks SO yummy! I'd have to smell it first to see if I could eat it though. ;)
