Another art project

I'm slowly changing the color palate of our interior decorations. The red is going. I love it, but it's time for a change!

Are they wrapped canvas? So cute. And of course because I can't look at anything without wanting to tweak (please don't take offense) I'm thinking that it would be neat if you took one or two of the bigger ones and had a framed photo hanging in the middle from a strip of sheer ribbon/twine/jute whatever that could be tucked behind...does that make sense...so it would kind of be 3 dimensional....okay, rambling...disregard all that - I love it!

so i guess i should have explained my creative process... all i did was:

1. find old unused frames from around the house.
2. wrap old frames in batting and fabric.
3. staple fabric with staple gun.
4. find a good arrangement
5. and hang with nails.

i like rebecca's layered look idea by adding family photos. i'll have to work on that. very soon there will be a huge family photos collage going up the stair wall just behind this fabric wall so i don't want the room to get too overwhelmed with our faces. i'll update when i get around to that project.
