We dined on picnic food to go with our seagull/beachy theme. Thanks to Kari for delicious bbq chicken paninis and Deena for croissant sandwiches. Patti and Kristie/Erin brought chips and dip. Heather a yummy spinach pasta salad and Debbie's potato salad. We had tasty lemonade to drink and ice cream cones for dessert. What a feast!
Here are all the ladies at the dinner table. They just love it when I bust out the camera while they're eating!
As always the food and company were great. We are so lucky to have such a fun solid group of ladies in our ward that enjoy reading and getting together to discuss good books.
Is anyone else involved in a book club? And please feel free to share any titles that sparked good discussion from your group. We're always on the hunt for good ones.

ps. I'm ashamed to admit that I've stalked your blog *daily* for nearly 6 months. I was teasing Matt and Aimee that since they don't post nearly enough, it was my only way to *eavesdrop* in on their life through your blog :)

K, so I know the title is silly...The Surrendered Wife by Laura Doyle. She is not an LDS author but her book is SO dang brilliant. It is an easy read with tons of ahha moments and is quite candid. I really think even if there is NOTHING in your marriage that you need to change it is still fun to read...I think it works with a lot of relationships besides marriages too. LOVE, LOVE this book. It also could be a good conversation piece because "feminists" could see it as a little degrading..I honestly think it's just back to the basics of marriage...I have read it 2x's...it doesn't fit the stereotypical self help book either, thank goodness! :)
